About Me

I am a  Literacy Specialist at Puesta del Sol Elementary. I work with students one on one or in small groups to give extra support to those who need it. I supplement classroom instruction to help build good math, reading and writing behaviors and skills and to foster a love of literature and learning. Our  instruction focuses on fundamental  skills such as  alphabet recognition, phonics and basic math skills.

I work hard to stay informed about literacy instruction. I have a Masters' Degree in Language, Literacy and Socio-Cultural Studies. I am a certified Academic Language Therapist and recently earned a licensure in Special Education. I truly love my job and look forward to each new year with my students.
