About Mr. Hess

I will be your students' general music teacher this year! I will also be teaching the 5th-grade band program. 

This is my first year teaching in the elementary schools, and I am incredibly excited to have this experience at the school and learn from your students. I have a dog named Wilson Squirrel, and I have lived in Rio Rancho my entire life. I grew up in the Rio Rancho Public School District. I enjoy reading, hiking, paddle boarding, running with my dog, and all things music. 

This year, I envision the Music program to be collaborative with classroom teachers and reinforcing the topics they are learning in class with musical and creative ways. I am excited to make music with the students of Joe Harris Elementary. While also encouraging community engagement.
