SORA for MLK

   Sora is a platform that allows students and staff to check out e-books and audiobooks on ANY digital device.

Directions: 

1. Download the app on your chosen device – it is free! Search Sora app in your google store or app store. It might show up as “Sora by Overdrive”.

2. On your Chromebook, go to soraapp.com

3. For any device, click on “find my school” and type in Rio Rancho Public Schools. Your login is your Google login.

4. If you have a public library card, click on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner or where it says “Rio Rancho Public Schools” at the top middle of the page and “add a public library”. This will connect to the Libby App with Public Library.

5. Click on the "Explore" button at the bottom to browse and choose your books. Once they are checked out to you, you can see them on your "shelf"

6. If you check out an ebook, and you have a Kindle or other e-reading device, you can send it to that device by clicking on “options” next to the cover of the book.

7. If you finish your book prior to the due date, you can return it early for others to use by going to your shelf and clicking “options”. On your due date, it will automatically return itself.

8. You can also place books on hold or tag them to a list for later.

9. You can bookmark pages in ebooks, or highlight, take notes, or define words, and it will all save onto your "home" page. Just click and hold on the word or section you are interested in…
