What is our new ELA curriculum all about?
CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts) is based on the science and research of how the human brain learns to read. The lessons follow the structured literacy approach to explicitly and systematically teach all important components of literacy. In Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade our students are learning to read. In 3rd, 4th and 5th grade our students are reading to learn.
