Grading Policy:
Breakdown: 70% Assessments, 30% Practice (Tests heavily affect students’ grades!)
Cumulative Final Exams are given for Semester 1 in December and Semester 2 in May.
Students may redo any homework assignment (unless otherwise communicated to students) for a better grade. Making and fixing mistakes are how we learn! Redo's, or any late or missing assignments must be completed and turned in before each of the Topic Tests or set deadline at the end of each quarter. Opportunities to make test corrections and raise students' grades and understanding are given during the test taking time. This allows students to get immediate feedback and correct mistakes in a timely manner. Additional opportunity for retake involves a re-learning action given to students after a discussion with the teacher prior to being able to retake the assessment.
