ELA: We are continuing to read Porpoises in Peril and answer text dependent questions. The vocabulary words for this week are: formulate, referring, snorkeling, temperature, thermometer, and vacant. Please reinforce these words at home when you can.

Writing: All students have chosen a scientist/inventor and have started to compile research through books, videos, and the Internet. Students have organized their notes into the categories of: Childhood, Accomplishments, Character Traits, and Fun Facts about their scientists.

Math: We are working with place value to the millions, multi-step words problems, and multiplication facts. We are focusing on the concept that each place to the left is 10 times greater than the place on the right.

All students now have a MobyMax account. Extra work at home on fact fluency and math will be beneficial.
