I LOVE science, robotics, teaching, and most importantly I love to learn. A true educator never stops learning and has the desire to instill the love of learning within others. I believe science to be a "hands on" subject and I structure my classroom and clubs around this belief. My classroom is student-centered where students gain confidence by taking ownership of their learning. Students in my classes and clubs are expected to think "outside the box" and explore the world around them. Questions, exploration, collaboration, positive attitudes and hard work is WELCOME!
Expectations for club:
Everyone has the right to, and should expect to, learn.
Each individual is worthy of respect.
Classroom orderliness is necessary for an effective classroom.
Hard work is necessary for learning.

NM BEST
NM BEST
Every fall, teams of middle and high school students converge on the campus of NMSU for the annual NM BEST Kick-off where they receive a kit to design and build remote-controlled robots to accomplish a specific task. During the six-week competition, the teams work to design and build prototypes, participating in a mock competition during Practice-Day, and then move on to a regional play-off and championship.
