'22 RRHS XC Pasta DinnersHello! Welcome to the 2022 RRHS XC Pasta Dinner Sign Up Sheet. One of our team traditions is hosting a Thursday night pasta dinner in advance of each Saturday Invitational. For each Thursday we have several different jobs/roles.  We need a host - we travel fairly large. A safe number of guests to plan on is 40-45!  The Buehrle's will be providing reusable plates, cups, and cutlery for each pasta dinner, so if you are hosting, you won't need to dig up 45 forks, knives, etc... The Buehrle's will provide this and ask for them to be run through the dishwasher and they can pick up the following day, or their son Ben will be happy to load them up after each dinner and take it home.  This is a huge cost and environmental savings! Thank you Matt & Naomi (and Ben!)! If you need support regarding chairs, the RR Civic Center will loan out tables and chairs (free of charge), you just need to be willing to transport them. Let us know, we can provide contact info as needed. If you'd like to host, but cannot handle 45 humans, no worries! Each season we'll host a couple of our pasta dinners at the HS after practice. The athletic department will work with us on reserving space.   We need someone to sign up for pasta. Sometimes the host prefers to run with the pasta as well, if so, just sign up for both! We typically have someone provide cheese sheet pizzas. We will need someone to provide drinks. Water or Gatorade (No soda). We will need someone to bring a salad and fruit (not too much, we typically have a lot of left-over salad) along with breadsticks/garlic bread. The kids like the "pizza dip," the recipe can be found here. We will need someone to bring a small dessert (ex. cookies, brownies, cupcakes).  This is our version of a pre-game dinner and we want the food choices to largely be healthy in nature. Again, plan on feeding approximately 45 humans. We have 18 girls and 22 boys out for the team. We'll lose a handful as the season goes, and not everyone will attend. That said, we also want to be able to keep our adults nourished (coaches and parents that might want to attend).   Thank you for supporting our runners! This is a great group of kids and they greatly enjoy these pasta dinners. They've been a source of camaraderie, tradition, and recognition. Often coaches will attend and acknowledge that week's Golden Spike winner.
