The 49th Bell Invitational hosted at Rocky River High School

General Information
Rocky River High School Athletic Director: Mark Wagner (wagner.mark@rrcs.org)
Participating schools: Aurora, Avon Lake, Bay, Elyria, Lakewood, Midview, Rocky River, and Westlake.
Coaches will have a meeting at 2:30pm outside the Stadium Field House near the shot put area.
Heats will be set up on Thursday and packets will be handed out at the meeting.
The infield is designated as a warm up area for athletes.
Busses can park at St. Christopher Parish (20141 Detroit Rd after 3:00pm. In the event of rain, emergency pick up will be at the Wagar road entrance.
All timed events will be seeded and recorded by FAT.
Each school is permitted to enter 3 athletes per individual event, and one team per relay.
All entries should be submitted by MileSplit by the deadline of May 8th at 11:00am.
There will be no preliminaries for running events, all heats are timed finals.
The coaches, volunteers, and officials hospitality dinner will be held from 4-6pm in the high school cafeteria.
Field Events
High jump starts at 5'3 for boys and 4'3 for girls, increasing by 3 inches until 5'6 and 4'6, and then two inches until 5' and 6', then it will increase by 1".
Girls Pole Vault starts at 6', then 7', and will progress by 6" from there until 8'6" and then by 3".
Boys Pole Vault starts at 9' followed by 10', and then increments of 6" until 13", then by 3" until a winner is decided.
Scoring, Awards, and Results
Team points for each event will follow traditional scoring rules of:
1st - 10
2nd - 8
3rd - 6
4th - 5
5th - 4
6th - 3
7th - 2
8th - 1
Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes for all events. A permanent trophy will be give for the 1st and 2nd place teams, and there will be a trophy awarded to the school with the highest combined score of boys and girls teams.
All results will be posted on MileSplit by Brunswick Timing.
Schedule
Field Events start at 3:00pm (with the exception of long jump starting at 4pm until 6pm with an open pit) and track events begin at 6pm. We will proceed with a rolling schedule from there.

Finals in the Shot Put and Discus will immediately follow the prelims. Each qualifier will be given three more attempts. High Jump and Pole Vault continue until completed.
