4.21: Today we had the opportunity to go on a field trip to the Lake Erie Nature Science Center. We learned all about animal habitats, see live animals, and even go on a nature walk. Thank you to Mrs. Acklin, Mrs. Thinnes, and Mr. Thomas for joining us on our adventure today.
4.17: We were very fortunate to have Grace's mom come in from the Cleveland Federal Reserve to teach us all about money$!$!$. Thank you so much to Mrs. Hamblin!!!
3.30-3.31: For STEAM week, we had the opportunity to make rockets and then were treated to an assembly put on by the Great Lake Science Center. Thank you to Mr. Allen, Mr. Foss, and Mrs. Mayer for helping us construct our rockets!
3.25: We had the opportunity to visit the Beck Center to do a little bit of dancing, art, acting, and playing music. Thank you to Mrs. Allen for joining us on our trip!
3.23: Having fun at the spring Scholastic Book Fair. Huge shoutout to our Goldwood PTA for putting this on, and a special thank you to Mrs. Hamblin, Mrs. Foss, Mrs. Lecavalier, Mrs. McCarthy for helping out our shoppers.
3.20: We need to call pest control...GymRats are loose at Goldwood!
3.13: Goldwood's second grade musical concert was a success. Huge shoutout to our music teacher, Mrs. Mahoney for all of her hard work, and another shoutout to my families for having perfect attendance...I'm so glad you all could enjoy the show! Thank you for coming!

2.19: Field trip fun as we traveled to the Natural History Museum to become Junior Paleontolgists (Huge thank you to Mrs. Mayer and Mrs. Lecavalier for joining us)

12.19: We closed out the 2025 year with a whole school holiday sing-a-long.
12.19: Here are all of the yearbook cover contest entries and participants from our class. So many talented artists in here. I love how many participants we had from Room 121. Sadly, only one entry can go on for consideration to be in the top 3 for school voting to be our 2025-2026 Yearbook cover. Congratulations to Maeve for being our classroom winner!

12.11: Our class shopped 'til we dropped at Goldwood's Snowflake Palace!
11.25: After reading "Balloons Over Broadway" and learning about the history of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, our second graders gave the Goldwood kindergartners and first graders a very special balloon parade.
11.21: Room 121 is prepared to hit the Oregon Trail! Wish us luck!
