Students can access TransMath and VMathLive outside of the school day to practice their math skills.
As explained on their website, TransMath is a math intervention program that targets middle and high school students who lack the foundational skills necessary for algebra. In Math Fundamentals, TransMath will be used to assign assessments to students in order to test their math skills. These will typically be completed in class.
Included with the TransMath program is the VMathLive component. VMathLive is described as an online, independent learning component that helps students apply math skills 24/7 from any browser. The program has two main sections - Learn and Play. The Learn section provides activities to practice math vocabulary and skills to earn rewards. The Play section gives students the opportunity to compete against other students or against Max, the program mascot, in the game of their choosing. In Math Fundamentals, VMathLive will be used to assist students gain mastery in math concepts they struggle with.
