The Rocky River Broadcasting Club / Network (RRBN) is currently in its 9th year of "live-streaming" football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, wrestling, lacrosse, softball, baseball and other activities around Rocky River High School.
The focus of our club is for the students to deliver a product to the viewers that includes play-by-play and commentary analyzing the live action and video. The RRBN hopes to deliver somewhere between 45 to 60 broadcasts a year with those broadcasts being announced via Twitter @rrhsBN. (https://boxcast.tv/channel/g8vkmffqmw5vlozsmcrv)
If a student wishes to not be "on-air," there are still multiple opportunities to be involved. These opportunities include writing the scripts for Game Day, being behind the camera, scheduling the individual broadcasts to creating Game Day graphics announcing the RRBN's upcoming "live-streams".
The club meets seasonally on Thursdays, during Seminar in the Media Center. Our meetings cover scheduling for upcoming events, tips on how to deliver a better broadcast, learning how to set-up and tear down the equipment, to tips for writing the introductions and what's going on around the school "updates."
Any questions or suggestions, please contact the Club's Advisor, Sean O'Neill .
