Transportation Updates:
Here are a couple friendly reminders in order to keep our students safe and on time to school....
* Please be at your designated pick up location before the bus arrives.
* Please allow a 10-minute window (5 minutes before/after) for the bus to arrive. We are still adjusting with the time and minor changes, so please be patient with your driver.
* Please make sure masks are out of book bags and on when the bus pulls up.
* Please make sure self-certification forms are in hand and ready to show the drivers when they arrive.
*Food and drink are prohibited on every school bus.
*Students are only allowed to ride their assigned bus. At this time we are not allowing students to ride home with other friends/family on a different school bus.
We look forward to providing continuous and safe transportation to our precious cargo. Again BRAVO and THANK YOU!

FFA Virtual Fundraiser
The Rockridge FFA Chapter would love your support by participating in our Fall fundraiser! Fundraising is more important than ever this year! Our inability to conduct some of our staple Fall fundraisers, as done in years past, has not discouraged us, but rather pushed us to get creative and overcome this year's challenges. Luckily, 4 Seasons reached out to us with this opportunity for a "No Touch," completely virtual, online fundraiser.
Please follow the link below to access our online store that allows you to purchase 200+ award-winning American made products that are unique to 4 Seasons Fund Raising while providing financial support to our chapter. (There is a "donation only" option on the site as well!) If you have family/friends who are members of the chapter, please reach out to them and ask them for their student ID code, as we are able to track member sales. If you do not know any members, or would just like to support the chapter, use the code below. Thank you in advance for supporting the Rockridge FFA chapter! Go Rockets!

The Rockridge School District is committed to the health and safety of our children and staff members. Due to the growing concern of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to provide you with the current information available to the District at this time.
There is no current vaccine for coronavirus at this time. The preventive measures that you, your family and our district can take to reduce the spread of both the flu and coronavirus are:
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your upper arm or elbow
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
Stay at home when you are sick, except to get medical care. Remember, students should not return to school until they are fever-free without the use of medication for 24 hours.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces, such as hand railings, light switches, and doorknobs
The Rockridge School District, with the assistance of our cleaning contractor FBG has implemented extra precautionary measures to help disinfect areas in our schools and school buses. We will continue the precautionary cleaning methods for the remainder of the school year.
If you have questions about the coronavirus, please contact your family doctor, school nurse or visit the following websites: Center for Disease Control Prevention: https://www.cdc.gov/ or Illinois Department of Public Heath: http://www.dph.illinois.gov/
The District will closely monitor the recommendations regarding the coronavirus and will provide updates, if there are significant changes in the recommendations/guidelines for schools.
Do you know if the district is considering allowing students to check out chromebooks?
The District is working to get devices and/or an Internet connection in the hands of students who indicated they do not have accessibility. The District’s second phase will be geared towards families who have an Internet connection, but may need an additional device.
What if the student(s) do not have access to a computer that will allow these apps or to high speed internet?
We have attempted to collect as much information from families using a survey and through the use of personal phone calls to gain a better understanding of the technology needs in our district. We are currently working on various options to supply an internet connection and a device to students who do not have access as identified. We anticipate notifying families on Monday, March 30, 2020 regarding a pick-up time for these services. If you did not fill out the survey or have not received a personal phone call, please send a request to questions@rr300.org. Please indicate your name and students' names along with a good phone number to reach you.Hard copies will be provided as well for students who cannot connect through the Internet.
If this keeps up, what will happen for prom? Would it be cancelled or just postponed?
We are exploring possible dates to hold this event, once the stay at home order is lifted.
Is the return date Tuesday March 31?
School buildings are closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school term.
Will this affect graduation?
We will provide further updates on graduation and promotion ceremonies.
