Public education in Minnesota stands at a pivotal moment and in the spotlight. District leaders are expected to lead through unprecedented challenges – political division, financial pressures, academic recovery, and workforce shortages – while maintaining hope and stability in our communities.

Throughout my career, I have chosen to lead in complex environments. Completing my twelfth year in Richfield Public Schools, I have led a district through transformation while also professionally evolving and maintaining long-term stability for myself and my community. I believe in steady leadership. I believe in relationships. I believe in the power of public education to transform lives.

From serving in public, international, and private schools to leading large and small districts, from navigating crises to passing transformative referenda, I have worked at every level of our system. I understand the pressures you face because I live them every day with you. I also understand the importance of a professional association that advocates boldly, supports consistently, and brings district leaders together in meaningful ways.

This field has given me extraordinary opportunities. Serving as your President would be my opportunity to give back – to support you, to strengthen MASA, and to help ensure public education in Minnesota remains strong for generations to come.
