FEM Feminist Empowerment
The Feminist Empowerment Movement is a group aiming to fight rape culture and spread awareness of gender issues in RHS and beyond. We have gotten free menstrual product dispensers for RPS, ran a menstrual product drive each year, and beautified the second floor by creating the Hall Of FEM.
Heaven Zayas Gutierrez
Developing my talent was tuff at first, but my mom got me a teacher that taught me how to play drums. I played drums since I was 4, and showing my talent is one of my greatest goals of my life. I also create music for my church, like multitracks. This is my talent that God has giving me and my goal is also try to reach college or berklee music college.
My inspiration came from my uncle. My uncle taught me that if you want something in life or be someone in life, you need to make a sacrifice every day. You need to fight for what you care for and have a straight goal.
I am proud of this work because I described my life in this talent and putting the work every single day none stop.
Young Rebellion (rock band)
Me and my bandmates have always loved music and have learned from an early age how to develop our musical skills! We have all played in different bands and now united to make our voices heard!
We had played together once and decided it wouldn’t be the last time!
We, as friends, like to hangout and make music. We have heard from others that we sounded great together so we decided to play for an audience.

JROTC is a leadership class offered at RHS. It has various different teams such as drill, PT and academics. It offers various different community service opportunities for students and most importantly, it is not a road to the army. It is simply a leadership program.
NASU
NASU is a North African club that celebrates North African culture as well as all other cultures shown in the community. Something NASU has done to show this is hosting a cultural spirit week, holding many bake sale fundraisers to support causes, movie nights, and making many infographics.

A passion in music.

STEM Center
The STEM Center’s main goal is to be a safe and welcoming environment where students can come and develop their STEM skills or even just relieve STEM anxieties. We strive to help teachers know what their students need more help on and help the students have more resources to get that help. We welcome students during patriot block, and after school if their class isn’t scheduled with us during the school week.
United African Student Association
In this club people of all races and ethnicities come together to celebrate african culture and learn more about the diversity in Africa and how it has expanded upon many other regions. Encouraging students of african and non-african descent to take pride in the variety of african heritage in the school. Three goals for the year is to raise enough money to be able to start off our club since it is the first year, to be able to send some money to a fundraiser for any black/african country and lastly to be able to hold an african culture day with food and music and fun.
RHS Student Representatives
Student Representatives are elected members from Student Senate who serve on the School Commitee as non-voting members to address school issues and solutions to those issues. As Student Representatives, we serve as the liasion between students and the administrators and hope to foster a relationship between the two bodies to improve school culture and environment. There are currently two Student Representatives serving on the school committee.
As Student Representatives, we are members of the Masschusetts Association of Student Representatives (MASR), funded by the Masschusetts Association of School Committees (MASC) to foster a network a schools across the state to discuss and improve a range of issues starting from curriculum reform to voting rights for Student Representatives throughout the state.
This year, we initiated project RESPIRE (Reversing E-cigarrate Surge; Promoting Inhalation Risk Education) to promote in-school resources for students to help overcome dependence on substance. Our hope is that by the end of the year, we will see a drastic improvement in student's understanding of how substance abuse can lead to long-term health concerns and other risks.
Additionally, as part of RESPIRE, we have begun the process of introducing CPR and Narcan training in the curriculum for phyisical education and biology classes. This project is still ongoing and is subject to change given we are still brainstorming the most efficient and effective method of implementation.
Earlier this year, the Student Representatives were at the State House testifying infront of the Joint Committee on Education to provide voting rights to Student Representatives on the School Committee. Our efforts have garnered large support and MASR continues to push this legislation forward. We anticipate a significant change in the way Student Representatives serve on the School Committee in the upcoming months.
RHS Speech & Debate
A place for poets, debaters, politicians, actors, and more to explore their craft! With a wide range of events, from everything between Play Reading to Lincoln-Douglas Debate, students compete in Saturday tournaments throughout the year in the Massachusetts Speech and Debate League. This year, we were able to send students to the 31st Yale Invitational, help moderate the Mayoral Debate, work at local polling locations on Election Day, and host our very own home tournament, the Second Annual Revere Fall Festival! On top of our continued community service, we shine at Saturday competitions across the state, with members of our team winning a multitude of awards for Finalist and even First Place achievement. Our work would not be possible without the dedication of our members, Executive Board, Coach Conway and Coach Fellowes, as well as the support of the Revere community at large.
RHS Student Senate
We serve as the student government system at RHS, creating solutions to problems we find in our community and advocating for students. Our Committees, made and run by students, include: Student Engagement & School Spirit, School Scheduling, Mental Health, and Student-Staff Communication. The Representative Team oversees coordination and meeting facilitation, with roles including: Chair (Matthew Terrell), Vice-Chair (Erta Ismahili), Clerk (Endurance Nkeh), Sr. Student Rep. (Raihan Ahmed) and Jr. Student Rep. (Salsabil Mendoza). This year, we were able to testify at the State House for expanded student representation on School Committees (Bill H.474), expand student voice to the Revere Journal through the "Student Senate Star", and welcomed students back to RHS with welcoming and uplifting murals painted over the summer. We thank the Revere community for their gracious support of our efforts and welcoming of student representation!
RHS Model United Nations
Students dedicated to the club practice their diplomacy and leadership skills throughout the year, with the goal of competing in BOSMUN, ClarkMUN (at Clark University) and RMUN (at Northeastern University) in the Winter/Spring season. Competitors from across the state and country will convene to represent nations, private interests, and even figures to develop their ability to collaborate and research!
Latin American Student Organization
LASO is a home away from home for all Latinx students at Revere High School. By taking pride in our culture, and finding comfort in community, we hope to empower the next generation of Latinx students in Revere. We hope to provide community building and service opportunities, as well as fun events. So far this year we have brought in Kaliente to teach salsa and bachata lessons. We brought in Latinx STEM students from Harvard and Northeastern to share their experiences. We celebrated Dios de Los Muertos and El Ano Nuevo together. And we have even done some community service!
Synergy Club
The goal of this club is for students to become more involved in the community and to interact with members of the community in a positive way. As a club, we have made arts and crafts bags for third grade students of the city to enjoy, have spent time with the residents of the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center in Revere, have sent holiday cards to elderly of the community, and organized food baskets for families in need.
Outdoors Club
The Outdoors Club aims to increase student access to nature and adventure activities. Our trips/activities include hiking, climbing, biking, skiing, camping, and gardening. We go on trips once or twice a month on Thursdays or on weekends.
Accomplishments:
1. Hiked Mt. Wachusett (2,006 feet)
2. Improved climbing skills by going to MetroRock Climbing Center twice
3. Drumlin Farms and Harold Parker State Forest Trips
Pre Health Club
This club is designed to create a network that will connect RHS students who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare with RHS alumnae who currently work in a health profession. Our aim is to provide various outlets for students to reach out to RHS alumnae in order to help students prepare for and be knowledgeable about the steps that are required before choosing their own career path. Our Goal is to continue to find resources, internships, and information for students.
