Welcome to the Bolton High School World History home page!
The World History course is designed to go along with the Western Civilization II CLEP Exams. You may be asked to choose the correct definition of a historical term, select the historical figure whose political viewpoint is described, identify the correct relationship between two historical factors, or detect the inaccurate pairing of an individual with a historical event. Groups of questions may require you to interpret, evaluate, or relate the contents of a passage, a map, or a picture to other information, or to analyze and utilize the data contained in a graph or table.
CLEP exams are designed to correspond to one-semester courses, although some tests correspond to full-year or two-year courses. With a passing score on one CLEP exam, you could earn three or more college credits at more than 2,900 U.S. colleges and universities.
The Western Civilization II: 1648 to the Present exam covers material that is usually taught in the second semester of a two-semester course in Western civilization. Questions cover European history from the mid-seventeenth century through the post-Second World War period including political, economic, and cultural developments such as scientific thought, the Enlightenment, the French and Industrial Revolutions, and the First and Second World Wars.
Students are expected to join and be active in Google Classroom.
This class can be quite challenging and I have high expectations, but hard work and dedication are rewarded.
