Ms. Walker

Principal

I would like to introduce myself to our Lessie Moore family and to all of our students, parents, and communities. My name is Pamela Walker, and I am so honored to be your principal. I want our families and our students to know that I will work hard to improve the quality of instruction in every classroom and make learning innovative and exciting. It is an honor to serve the students, parents, and this community. To tell you a little about myself, I have been an educator for 20 years now. I started out teaching 3rd grade and later became a 4th grade teacher. Eventually, I moved out of the classroom to become a Literacy and Math Interventionist. I truly loved working with students in this capacity as we grew our students to new heights. For four years, I served as an Assistant Principal first at the Pre-K -5th grade level and then as a 6th grade Assistant Principal. My belief is that all students should be provided a safe and nurturing learning environment enriched with new age opportunities for success. At Lessie Moore, we plan to continue to make reading, math, science, and world events a focus for our students so that they will become a generation of innovators for the future. Our goal will be to prepare our young scholars for the next level of learning while building a positive culture in our school.
