Digital Media 1 Class Overview
Students learn the basics of photoediting and creating digital artwork from scratch as they gain new skills in Adobe Photoshop. Lessons include learning how to use the basic tools and then moving forward to creating their own artwork. Students will test to earn a credential in Adobe Photoshop.

Media Arts 2 Class Overview
Students learn the basics of video editing and creating video productions from the ground up as they gain new skills in Adobe Premiere Pro. Lessons include learning how to use the basic tools and then moving forward to creating their own videos. Students will test to earn a credential in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Prerequisite: Credential in Adobe Photoshop
Broadcasting Class Overview
Students learn how to record video, interview subjects, put together a news program, and edit video. Students will also learn the basics of editing video in Adobe Premiere Pro and have the potential to earn a credential.
Prerequisite: Credential in Adobe Photoshop & approved application

About Mrs. Castro
Mrs. Castro has been a teacher for 20 years and has taught a variety of subjects (Elementary Music, Library, Journalism, Newspaper, Broadcast, Yearbook, Financial Literacy, Principles of Business, IBCA, and Media Arts. She has a Bachelors in Music Education, a Masters in Classroom Technology, and a second Masters in Curriculum and Instructional Design with an emphasis in Math. This is her third full year at Tioga High School.
