Richmond Park Schools believe that students become actively engaged in STEM, share their work in collaborative and social settings, and shine through presentations, displays, and competitions. The Richmond Park STEM Share and Shine approach makes STEM engagement socially desirable for students. Through this “Share & Shine” approach, STEM festivals at each Richmond Park campus have become annual public events to showcase student work and PBL artifacts shared with the entire school community.
RPS provides students with an exciting, hands-on, challenging science curriculum that introduces students to all aspects of science and develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills which are beneficial to their futures regardless of career choices. Students begin by learning the engineering process and designing and building robots to handle given tasks. Students put their scientific knowledge to the test by brainstorming solutions to real-world issues such as global warming, pollution, and alternative fuels.
