Computer Science Online Learning Modules

Welcome to the online learning modules for Nevada teachers. The lessons are bundled into clusters based on the fundamental concepts of the computer science standards, and these clusters are organized by grade bands as modules. To complete all of the lessons in a module (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, or 9-12), you should plan to spend about 15 hours of focused online attention. Get started by clicking a link below.

Please note that you will need to have a Google account in order to access these modules. If you do not already have a school or personal Google account, you can create one for free at accounts.google.com/signup using your existing email account or by creating a new Gmail account.

How to Submit for an RPDP Certificate

1. Compile all of your completed slide decks in one Google Drive folder. Name your folder with your first and last name and the module you completed. For example: "John Smith K-2".

2. Submit the Notice of Completion Form.

3. Your work will be checked to be sure it meets satisfactory expectations. Please allow up to 10 school days for a response after submitting the form in number 2 above. During summer break, wait times may be longer.

These lessons were developed through a multi-district consortium led by Nye County School District in partnership with the Regional Professional Development Programs to support teachers with the Nevada Academic Content Standards for Computer Science.
