Hello!
I am Christine Bretthauer.
I currently live in Ohio, but am a proud born and bred Texan. We moved to Ohio, a little over four years ago, when we accepted a call to a church in Medina where my husband is serving as a vicar. Jim and I met at church one day and have been together ever since! Our son, Hogan, is in second grade, and our daughter, Eden, is in Pre-K. We also have a giant Saint Bernard puppy, Ranger.
They keep us busy!
I attended Angelo State University in Texas, where I majored in Early Childhood Education. This is my 16th year teaching! Most of that teaching time was spent in 3rd grade, but have fallen in love with 5th.
I am pleased to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year!
I am looking forward to having your child as a student. Fifth grade is such a fun year with so many wonderful learning activities to celebrate. In order to have a fun year, my most important goal is to create a family of learners in my classroom. I am committed to creating a classroom environment where your child is a valued, trusted, and an integral part of our family of learners. In order to accomplish this, I have planned a variety of activities to emphasize and reinforce this goal. It is my hope that you will support and encourage this vision at home.
But most importantly, that God is real and present each day in our life.
