About Battle of the Books
Roycemore's Battle of the Books is a literary competition that introduces students in grades 3-5 to high quality literature and makes reading fun! Students read from a master list of 10 books, and play a Trivia-style game to test their memory about the books.
The Caudill Challenge is also a literary game played by 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
Competitions begin in the Fall with the release of the highly anticipated Master Reading Lists, and then the reading begins! Roycemore competes against three other schools: Chiaravalle Montessori, Pope John and St. Francis Xavier.
Games are held in the Spring.
