The Royal School Cavan house system was introduced in 2025 as a way of:
Improving student leadership skills
Creating unity and respect
Developing friendships between year groups
Fostering healthy competition amongst the houses
Creating an environment of accountability
A sense of achievement both inside and outside of the classroom
An awareness of individual and collective responsibility
Fun and excitement through competition
Our house names were chosen from the existing trees on the school grounds which will then tie into the tree planting ceremony at the end of every school year. The central figure of each logo is a griffin based from the school logo with the wings inspired from the foliage of the trees of the house name.
Students can earn points through perfect attendance, engagement with extra curricular activities, competitions and volunteering.
