Through creating the Latin Lectures project, I hoped to give students an opportunity to share their interests and develop their presentation skills. It was amazing to see so many younger students engaging with so many subject areas and so many sixth form students stepping out of their comfort zones. We had so many brilliant speakers and I hope to see the lectures continue into next year and beyond.

This presentation is a brief discussion on the basics of canine cardiac nutrition which essentially means how diets provided for animals like cats and dogs improve their heart health. It covers some general facts on heart disease as well as how people should adjust their pets diet according to their weight which is a large factor determining heart disease. I include what food components owners should increase, decrease and completely avoid. Also, I explain the raised concerns over popularized grain- free food and why it shouldn’t be a part of any canine’s diet.
