Space exploration has been a constant interest of both the public and experts across the past century. After having successfully managed to get a man on the moon, professionals are constantly attempting to push the boundaries of our knowledge.
So now there’s a new goal - space tourism. Many aspire to visit a world beyond Earth. Some are spending millions of pounds to experience the magical feel of zero gravity. For the first time, people can pay to do this. Before this point, only qualified astronauts with decades of training and hard work could go to space. It was unheard of for this childhood vision to become a reality. In order to do this however, a large sum of money has to exchange hands.
The leading company is the space tourism industry is Space-X - currently worth £25 billion. Clearly, this concept appeals to many. All the scientists and mathematicians behind making the rockets and technology are the people who are making the dream of space exploration more and more likely. With their help, it should be possible for at least one of you reading this to go to space in your lifetime.
Before now, there was a lethal selection process meaning not even 0.1% of the applicants who apply would ever make it. Now, if you can afford it, almost anyone can go into space with only a few months of training!
