Hello! I am Ms. Hailey Brown, the new Middle/High School Counselor at Royall. I will be using this site for students and parents to have access to resources. I will also post updates about information coming out of the Counseling Office regarding this year's Junior Class. Some of those updates include Career Exploration, College/Military/Professionals in the Workforce (virtual) visitors, and various opportunities for the Class of 2022!
Women in STEM Career Day is an interactive one-day event for high school women, grades 9-12, to learn about careers that require creative problem solving, encourage forward thinking, make a difference in society, and share the future of our world. The purpose of this program is to expose more women to the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields. Women remain underrepresented in the science and engineering workforce with the greatest disparities occurring in engineering, computer science, and the physical sciences.

The ACT® test motivates students to perform to their best ability. Test scores reflect what students have learned throughout high school and provide colleges and universities with excellent information for recruiting, advising, placement, and retention.
Many times, students who are not considering higher education rethink their plans when they see their ACT test results. To support college and career planning, the ACT also offers a career exploration component to help students identify career options.
The ACT will be administered to all Juniors at Royall High School on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021.
RHS is offering an after-school ACT Test Prep Group (schedule) for Juniors from 2:30-3:30 in the High School Cafeteria. Students are still able to attend!
If you're thinking about joining the military, it is required to complete the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). Scoring high on the ASVAB will require study and concentration: ASVAB Test Prep
Students have an opportunity to meet virtually with a Career Coach from Western Technical College. Each month they offer services to all high school students, no matter where your path may take you. Services include: career exploration, identifying colleges and programs that match career interests, college application process, accuplacer testing at high schools, individual meetings with students, financial aid and scholarships, and postsecondary transfer opportunities. They can also connect you to information on WTC's programs, program shadows, campus tours, dual credit opportunities, courses available at WTC's 5 regional locations and other two- and four-year colleges and universities.
Contact Ms. Brown in the Counseling Office if you would like your student to meet with our Career Coach or have them sign up through Google Classroom.
College Admissions Representatives work with prospective and incoming students by providing them with information regarding their college/university. Reps from Wisconsin and other colleges in the Midwest will be setting up virtual meeting times throughout the year that will be available to all students.
Military Recruiters provide information regarding service, training, and career opportunities to people interested in joining a branch of the military. Recruiters from all branches of the military will be setting up virtual meeting times throughout the year that will be available to all students.
See the student Rep & Recruiter Schedule and contact Ms. Brown in the Counseling Office if you would like your student to attend or have them sign up through Google Classroom.
