Highlighting the importance of afterschool and summer programs is crucial now more than ever. There are ongoing threats to sustainable funding for these initiatives. If you value your CROP Program, please consider attending a LOAS event and reaching out to your local policymakers to support CROP funding. Ask your school's Site Coordinator about upcoming Lights On Afterschool events specific to your site.

Oct. 23, 2025!
Launched in October 2000, Lights On Afterschool is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of children, families, and communities. The effort has become a hallmark of the afterschool movement and generates media coverage nationwide each year.
