- Please watch the Video Message from Ms. Hunter about the Spring Program.
- “Badinerie”- Let’s try the B section! ALL of the slides are the same, it’s just in a new order. If it’s really hard with the body percussion, just clap or tap the whole thing.
- Keep practicing “Toembai.” The recording has me singing it once and then playing it once on the piano. Scroll down to last week for the video where I teach each phrase.
For your FI music class this week (April 14-17),
please complete the following:
- “Badinerie”- once you can do the whole A section clapping, change it to the body percussion I have labeled at the bottom of each slide.
- Watch and sing along with the new song video- “Toembai.”
- Exit ticket- nothing to submit this week, just let me know how you did.
For your FI music class this week (April 6-9),
please complete the following:
- Spend 5 minutes practicing whichever chorus pieces you feel the least comfortable with. Don’t be afraid to practice only the sections you need to work on (rewind!)
- You can either sing along with the youtube videos, or the practice tracks in the google drive folder below.
2. New Rhythm/Body Percussion Piece. Start on Slide 2, and practice saying and clapping each slide. Then watch the video to see how they all fit together.
3. Exit ticket- nothing to submit this week, just let me know what you worked on.

please complete the following:
1. Movement and Vocal Warm-up
Explore the following elements of movement based on this picture prompt :
- Find 3 different body shapes in this picture
- Make 2 different pathways
- Find 4 vocal exploration squiggles to follow with your voice.
2. Spend 5-10 minutes practicing whichever chorus pieces you feel the least comfortable with- My suggestion is "Follow the Sun". (Scroll down to the bottom of this page.) Don’t be afraid to practice only the sections you need to work on (rewind!)
3. Rhythm Reading- go to Slide 14 to learn a new rhythm (watch the video), and
- Clap/tap/play along with the rhythm slides (If you have your recorder, play the rhythms on recorder on the note G) to the backing track
4. Please complete this short Exit ticket.
