This spiral-bound guide helps both parents and staff understand  the purpose and required elements of ELAC at the school site.  The guides are in a combined book containing English, Spanish and Mandarin.  You are welcome to print from this document or you can contact our office at ext. 8390 to request physical copies to be sent to your site.

They explain how to establish an ELAC, providing sample parent letters, nomination forms, and ballots.  They also explain roles and by-laws, and supply sample agendas, by-laws, and a sample Needs Assessment Survey, which is a required element of an ELAC.  

The packet also provides a guide to "Robert's Rules of Order," to help the ELAC run in an orderly and democratic manner, which makes the meetings more effective.
