What is IB?
Since September 2011, Stanley G. Oswalt Academy, has been proudly recognized as an authorized world school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). As the 27th PYP school designated in California, Oswalt Academy continues to meet the gold standards of an IB education, fostering a community of inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young learners.
Our Commitment to Continuous Improvement
Oswalt Academy is committed to ongoing excellence and improvement. We are scheduled for our next IB organization evaluation visit in August 2025. This continuous re-evaluation ensures that our educational practices remain at the forefront of global learning standards, preparing our students not just for academic success but for meaningful global citizenship.
IB Mission
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. In partnership with schools, governments, and international organizations, the IB develops challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs inspire students worldwide to be active, compassionate, lifelong learners who appreciate that people with different opinions and experiences can also be right.
