Modern Classroom

“Modern Classrooms Project” was started by two high school math teachers in Washington D.C. They were looking for a way to differentiate instruction during a six-period day with 175 students. Drawing on mastery based grading, blended learning, and self-paced structures, “Modern Classrooms Project” helps teachers develop lessons that respond to every students’ need. During Summer 2023, 16 math teachers from RUSD participated in the training and 90% recommended the training for their colleagues. Join us for an overview of the program and learn how you can join the next RUSD cohort in Summer 2024.

Using PBIS Tier 1 Foundations to Support and Respond to Behaviors

Trauma Informed Practices

In this workshop, we will look at how trauma shapes the child mind and adult outcome. According to SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) more than 66% of students have at least one childhood trauma by the age of 16. The impact of child traumatic stress can last well beyond childhood. The more healthy relationships a child has, the more likely he will be to recover from trauma and thrive. Relationships are the agents of change and the most powerful therapy is human love.

CPI Classroom Culture
