The President presides over meetings, prepares agenda items, carries out chapter decisions, knows each officers position and helps them reach their goals, monitors results, and aligns people by communicating direction. The President is the official representative of the chapter
The VPP assumes the President’s roles in her absence, ensures all committee plans and dates don’t cause over programming or overlapping, plans social/educational/service events, makes and provide an event calendar, sets the chapter tone as professional, positive, and medically related.
The VPF oversees the colony budget, financial records and management, membership dues and billing, and all fundraising and philanthropic events (Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals). They write a monthly finance statement.
The VPR educates members throughout the year with fraternity lesson plans. They keep people motivated and focus on retention. The VPR organizes and supervises recruitment events. They identify and contact recruits, and motivate other members to do so also. They ensure every member has a place in the recruitment program, and lead new membership voting procedures
The Secretary is responsible for all risk management, all chapter correspondence (email, news letter, etc.), PDE property, and social media accounts. They keep updated member information, attendance records, and work with the Historian.
The PR/Marketing Chair helps create flyers, posters, shirts, etc. They’ll prepare email templates for various circumstances, and maintain member information (email and phones). They communicate with the Secretary weekly for communication and up dates and are committed to continuous improvement. They attend all events/meetings and collect attendance.The Historian takes photos at all events and creates a scrapbookwith each class.
The Fundraising/Philanthropy Chair meets with VPF once a week to communicate ideas, helps with dues and money handling/collection, is always brain storming ideas, and attends all chapter events/meetings.
The Recruitment/Membership Chair shares duties of setting up and running recruitment week activities with VPR. They will lead one team building activity or educational event. They’re always brainstorming recruitment ideas and always looking for PNMs. They meet with VPR weekly to communicate and discuss ideas, and attend all events/meetings
The Service/Social Chair will attend all chapter events/meetings, meet with VPP weekly to discuss ideas/events, and are always brain storming ideas. They’re responsible for letting the PR/Marketing Committee and campus resources know about all events to improve university awareness.
Works with the Secretary/Risk Management Officer. The Historian shall also keep an accurate written and photographic log of all events during the perspective chapter period including events, accomplishments, memorable moments, and important guests. The Historian will be responsible for writing a summary of the year’s history.
