Rising Renaissance Rover Camp will present a variety of creative, hands-on experiences that will appeal to the interests of every child and introduce them to the wonderful experiences that exist at EAMS. Most importantly, this Camp will begin our children's journey to grade 6 by affording them opportunities to begin new relationships by interacting with some of their classmates, their teachers, and our EAMS campus. We will also begin to introduce the EAMS PROUD (Patience, Respect, Organization, Understanding, Determined) skills that we strive to develop in their first year with us. The Rising Renaissance Rover Camp will be conducted only for Easton School District 5th grade students who will attend the EAMS Grade 6 Renaissance Rover Academy in the fall. It is a 4-day program (Monday through Thursday) that will be held the last week of July. Our program is taught by professional 6th-grade educators who know how to have fun and create enjoyable experiences for children.
This Program is Free and includes Transportation, Breakfast, Lunch and Supplies.
Space is limited.
Registration ends 6/17/2022.
YOUR STUDENT MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE EASTON AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT TO ATTEND
2022 COURSES
Animal Instincts
If you have a passion for animals and hope to work with them one day, this program will teach you about a variety of animals. This WILL BE a hands-on experience.
Arts Academy
Have fun while developing the basic skills in drawing and painting and creating. Work with different materials, techniques, and subject matter through projects that teach basic elements of design. We encourage our students to develop their own creativity and imagination.
Broadcast & Billionaires
Do you have the next big idea? Learn to focus your ideas and build a business plan using marketing and media tools. Media and news platforms constantly evolve and create a demand for high-quality journalistic skills (writing, information gathering, and interviewing).
Building Makers Science, Technology, Engineering and Math join forces in this class with real world experiments that encourage critical thinking for active learners.
Forensic Detectives
Have you ever wondered about the science that goes into solving crimes? Do you see yourself as an investigator? Do you like mysteries and puzzles? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this is for YOU! Through experiments and activities, you will have a front row seat as you help solve crimes, work with others to see if your hypothesis works, and even work as a criminal investigator.
Game Changers
Gaming is fun, building them is better! Find out how games are built through coding and design, while using free design programs that you can use on your own later.
Get a Clue!
The unit focuses on reviewing important language skills through the exploration of the mystery genre. Students will learn about analyzing mystery elements in film and text, and participate in hands-on activities like an escape room and a Who Done It Party.
Restorative Listening Circles
All students will participate in Restorative Listening Circles each day. A restorative circle is a technique that builds and restores relationships through equal opportunity sharing and listening. These talking circles proactively build the skills individuals and give every individual the opportunity to speak and be heard.
