Westwood Student Press produces the yearbook, online news, and literary magazine. Students begin with Intro to Journalism, then may progress to Advanced Journalism, where they determine their own paths as reporters, photographers, writers, designers, editors, and leaders. Many students go on to work for their college publications or find careers in journalism.

The Heritage, the Horizon, and the Dreamcatcher are all award-winning publications that are ranked among the best in the nation. These publications are entirely produced by students. The adviser's role does not extend to editorial choices about content. Decisions are made by student leaders with the guidance and input of the adviser. We follow the Society of Professional Journalists' Code of Ethics and operate under the protection of the First Amendment.
