The National Technical Honor Society currently serves approximately 100,000 active members and nearly a million members since its inception in 1984. Awarding over $2 million in scholarships to date, NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce. For over 30 years, NTHS has been the acknowledged leader in the recognition of outstanding student achievement in career and technical education.
Westwood High School students are eligible by application with a recommendation from a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher. Students must meet the national criteria of having an overall unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher, and must currently be enrolled in a CTE program or major. Once admission requirements are met the students must complete the National NTHS application process and pay a one-time membership fee.

Active membership shall be a member in good standing that has met the participation requirements set forth below.
In order to maintain active membership, and be eligible to wear honors cords at graduation, members:
May not miss more than 1 meeting per semester
Must participate in 1 fundraiser or approved donation per semester
Must perform a minimum of 6 hours of approved community service per year
Maintain an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
