Students with an IEP or 504 Plan may qualify for accommodations on College Board assessments, including the PSAT, SAT, and AP exams. To begin the process, families must submit requests through our school so we can provide the necessary documentation and secure approval from College Board. We carefully track each request and partner with families to ensure accommodations are in place well before test day. This process helps prevent last-minute complications and ensures that students receive the support they are entitled to.
Parents interested in applying for accommodations for PSAT, SAT, or AP exams should complete the following form. After your request is reviewed, you will receive an email with the full application.
Please contact your case manager if you have questions regarding qualification or your existing
accommodations. If you do not know who your case manager is, contact your Alpha Office.
Who is my case manager?
504 Plan: Assistant Principal
Special Education IEP: Special Education Case Manager
ESL Accommodations: ESL Case Manager
*Please note that Case Managers may not be on contract during the Summer months and they will reply to you when they return on contract.

STAAR EOC Accommodations:
Accommodations for these exams are outlined in your IEP, 504, ESL plan and are shared through the Parent Portal in Frontline. These are automatically applied to your STAAR EOC Exams.
PSAT/SAT and AP Accommodations:
Access your College Board accommodations using the SSD Online website.
Accommodations for these exams must be approved by College Board. They require that we submit specific paperwork so that they can review the accommodations you are consistently receiving in the classroom.
Please keep in mind that it can take up to 7 weeks for College Board to approve accommodations.
Once College Board approves accommodations, they will apply to all College Board exams you take (PSAT, SAT, and AP).
ACT Accommodations:

Accommodations for these exams must be approved by ACT. They require that we submit specific paperwork so that they can review the accommodations you are consistently receiving in the classroom.
When you register for your ACT exam, you will be prompted to take the exam with accommodations. When this is checked, an email will be sent to the testing team to verify and submit the request for accommodations.
Please keep in mind that it normally takes about 10-14 days to approve accommodations.
Students must apply for ACT Accommodations EACH time they take the ACT.
