Coach Cruger
Ms. Cruger has been dancing for 18 years and has trained extensively in a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and modern. During high school, she was a dedicated member of her school’s drill team and studied at her local dance studio, deepening her passion and versatility as a dancer.
While pursuing her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC), Ms. Cruger earned a minor in dance. There, she had the opportunity to choreograph original works for multiple showcases and festivals, including the university’s Dance Demo and the Día de los Muertos Festival. Ms. Cruger also produced and directed showcases throughout the
Corpus Christi area. One of her showcases was titled “Human Matter” and was presented at The Art Museum of South Texas. She also held several leadership roles in The Stage, a student-led dance organization where she choreographed and taught her peers.
Ms. Cruger was a member of the TAMU-CC Dance Company for two years, further honing her performance and choreographic skills. Today, she teaches dance to students ranging from 18 months old to adults and serves as the treasurer for the Bailando International Dance Festival.
Ms. Cruger is passionate about inspiring others through movement and hopes to build on her experience by eventually teaching dance at the collegiate level. She is excited to continue sharing her love of dance with each new generation of students.
