All software and Apps used by students must be approved by the district prior to being used in the classroom. The approval process checks the following things to ensure compatibility:
Finance to help protect against unknow financial commitments
Curriculum to ensure there is not already an approved district software that follows best practices
Technology to make sure that the software will operate on all district devices
Legal to ensure the software is in compliance with FERPA and COPPA
Classlink
Classlink
Classlink is the single sign on portal that the district utilizes to make access to the software easier for all students.
Students and teachers need to sign on through the Classlink RRISD portal in order to complete the sign on link.
Once signed into a Chrome Browser using the district email credentials a folder should appear in the upper left of the screen labelled RRISD.
If that folder does not show up either the student is not the primary account signed into the Chrome Browser and will need to do that first. Alternatively they can use this link (http://launchpad.classlink.com/rrisd)
NOTE: If you are using a MAC device you must use a Chrome Browser not Safari
