Field Day
All Voigt Vikings get to enjoy field day on May 17th. PTA is providing an inflatable obstacle course and water slides. Stay tuned for more information from school staff!

Solar Eclipse
Just over a week to go until we get the opportunity to witness the solar eclipse! We are lucky enough to be in the path for the total solar eclipse, meaning the Moon will completely block the Sun and the sky will look like it is dawn or dusk time.
The total solar eclipse is expected in Round Rock a little after 1:30 pm on April 8th.
All students will have access to a pair of glasses that make viewing the solar eclipse safe.
¡Falta poco más de una semana para que tengamos la oportunidad de presenciar el eclipse solar! Tenemos la suerte de estar en el camino del eclipse solar total, lo que significa que la Luna bloqueará completamente el Sol y el cielo parecerá que es el amanecer o el anochecer.

Spirit Night
We raised over $200 at the Voigt spirit night hosted at the Round Rock Hat Creek! Thanks to all who came out, played, and helped PTA raise money!

DoubleGood Popcorn Fundraiser
Thank you to everyone that participated in the fundraiser! We raised over $1,900.00! This money will contribute to our Thanksgiving teacher appreciation lunch, the Voigt literacy and bookfair night, and other activities to support our school community.

We had a great fall festival and trunk or treat this year! Many thanks to volunteers that helped make the event a success. The raffle items were generously donated by the following local businesses.

Valentine's Dance
The Valentine's dance was a hit and enjoyed by all who attended. There was a DJ that spun great tunes and a photobooth that captured the memorable night. There was no shortage of dance moves to heat up the dance floor!

Volunteer With PTA
Volunteers are essential to the success of PTA. Combining PTA members’ talents and interests strengthens the impact we make in our Voigt community. Tell us how you can help!
Volunteers are needed to help monitor students during extra morning activities during teach planning periods. Each grade is assigned a day to eat breakfast in the cafeteria and visit the library. Volunteer shifts are from 7:15 to 8 am for cafeteria duty and about 8 to 9 for library time. Visit the Viking Volunteers webpage to signup!

What Is PTA?
PTA's mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
PTA sponsors events and provides support to bring teachers, families, and the community together. This school year, Voigt PTA has hosted and provided funding for a variety of events including the fall carnival, valentine's dance, movie nights, Thanksgiving teacher luncheon, 5th grade field trip, eclipse glasses, dance team uniforms, and kinder and 5th grade graduations.
