To empower young adults in reaching their personal best, to be as independent as possible and to realize their lives have value and purpose.
community-based service designed for students with disabilities who have met their graduation requirements and are 18-22 years old.
Community Access enables students to move beyond the high school setting and continue their education in an age-appropriate environment with their peers.
Community Access focuses on developing independence in the four life domains consisting of volunteer work, post-secondary education, adult living skills and recreation and leisure.
The goal of Community Access is to provide hands-on experiences in the community to prepare students for adult life.
The desired outcome of Community Access is for students to have the skills, resources and opportunities needed to lead a full and meaningful life.
