Meet The Teacher:

Hi! My name is Kellie Keating and I am one of the first grade teachers for the 2023-2024 school year. I am a graduate of Boston College, earning my undergraduate degree in history and my masters in Curriculum & Instruction. I grew up in Austin and taught in Temple, TX for a few years after graduate school before returning to Austin.  I was a kindergarten teacher for 10 years and an intervention teacher for 2 years.  This is my 10th year at Spicewood.  

I love to do lots of gardening and hiking.  When not spending time outside, I love to read, cook, and occasionally do a knitting project.  

I am looking forward to a fabulous year in first grade!  I believe your child should have a chance to grow and learn in a supportive classroom community.
