Meet the Team

My name is Taylor Gutierrez and I am one of the Dyslexia Service Providers (DSP's) at Spicewood. I recently became a Certified Academic Language therapist(CALT). This is my 5th year teaching dyslexia and my 16th year as a teacher. I have a wonderful husband, Christopher, and two fantastic kids, Ava and Elijah. You can often find us at the soccer field watching Ava play or at the pool watching Elijah compete in a swim meet. As a family we enjoy watching movies, swimming in our pool, and going to church together.

Teaching has always been my passion. I can honestly say that I love my job. I've been in education for 16 years, spending the majority of my career working with the littles in Kinder and First Grade.This will be my 2nd year here at Spicewood as a Dyslexia Service Provider. 

Although I have a lot of experience in teaching reading, I know there's always more to learn! I'm constantly researching, reading, and collaborating with colleagues to grow my knowledge. I'm also in the process of becoming a Certified Academic Language Practitioner!

My husband, Harry, and I have two beautiful children, Olivia and Hudson. They're twins and in 8th grade this year. We LOVE animals and share our home with our guinea pig and three cats. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, biking, and traveling!
