This web site is designed for students and parents of students who are enrolled in my Precalculus and Calculus classes at McNeil High School. Here you will find copies of my class notes, the syllabus, and other information related to the classes.

About Mrs. Snow:

Alice Snow currently teaches Precalculus and on level Calculus at McNeil High School. Previously she was part of the Algebra II, Algebra I, Math Modeling, and Math Power teaching teams. She began teaching at McNeil in the Fall semester of 2008 after 11 years of substitute teaching in Dallas and Austin and a technical career in industry and government before that.

Mrs. Snow holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Geology from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now known as Missouri University of Science and Technology). She pursued graduate studies in Geophysics and Geological Engineering before joining the work force as a Petroleum Geologist for the Oklahoma oil and gas regulatory agency, which was followed by a hydrology research position for the U.S. Geological Survey and a contract environmental consultant position for an energy, mining and chemicals company. Although her rigorous geology and geophysics education was highly math-oriented, while preparing for her new teaching career, Mrs. Snow took nearly all of her college-level math over again as a refresher.

A native of Rolla, Missouri in the Ozarks hills, she feels at home in the Texas Hill Country with its springs, caves and beautiful countryside. Mrs. Snow is married and the mother of two adult children, a son who is an Industrial Engineer and a daughter studying Rhetoric and Composition in graduate school. She takes hour-and-a-half long walks with her second set of children, her two dogs, and she is a dedicated stationary biker at the gym. Mrs. Snow is an accomplished cook with a penchant for international cuisine, including Indian, Lebanese, Ethiopian, Thai and Korean.
