Chloe Martinez grew up in Jersey Village, Texas and started dancing at the age of 3 years old. She received her formal dance training from Athletistry Performing Arts Center in Houston, Texas. There she learned and performed many dance styles including, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Ballet, Acrobatics, Musical Theater, Yoga/ Pilates, and Heels. While at Athletistry's Performing Arts Center she earned a spot on the competition team and traveled across the country having tremendous success winning National competitions from Texas to Florida. Because of her early success Chloe had the opportunity to continue her dance education, instructing and mentoring young dancers ranging from 3 to 18 years of age. In her youth, Chloe had many incredible opportunities to performing in public, one being the 2017 Superbowl halftime performance with Lady Gaga which was seen by millions of people across the world. While attending Jersey Village high School, Chloe was a Drill team officer and had the privilege of leading many performances during half time football games as well as contest routines. With a growing passion for choreography and technique she continued to perform and choreograph for Texas Tech University Fall Dance Festival and multiple Texas State University programs, including the Orchesis Dance Company. Chloe graduated from Texas State with a BFA in dance as well as earning her teaching certification. She graduated Cum Sum Laude while continuing to instruct talented junior dancers on the side. Chloe is extremely excited to start this new chapter in her professional career as a dance educator with McNeil High School and is looking forward to an exciting and challenging season!

Emily Figueroa was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and acrobatics at Barbara and Tammy’s School of Dance, and was also a member of their competitive team. During this time, she taught students aged 2-19 and assisted with company rehearsals.
Ms. Figueroa attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and participated in the UTeach program. Throughout her time at UT, she had the opportunity to become an Arnhold Summer Fellow and study at the 92nd Street Y in New York City, participate in the American Collegiate Dance Association, and help with the Cohen New Works Festival.
This will be Ms. Figueroa’s 1st year teaching, and she is so excited to begin her teaching career here at McNeil High School!
