My name is Mrs. Sanders, and I will be teaching our newest Dragons this year! This is my fourth year as a Dragon, and I'm thrilled you are here! This is my 14th year of teaching! I have been married for almost 22 years to my college sweetheart Eric. I have three amazing kids Hayden, Jackson, and Rylee, who are all SENIORS this year at RRHS! Yes, you read that right. SENIORS. I'm not ok... We have two sweet Yorkies Rocky and Rowdy! My husband's job has moved us around A LOT, so here is my career in a nutshell:
Taught 3rd Grade at Sunset Elementary in Phoenix, Arizona
Taught 6-12 Grade at Charter School of San Diego in San Diego, California
Taught 4th grade at CTA Freedom and 5th Grade at Haley Elementary in Chandler, Arizona
Moved to Texas and taught 7th grade ELA at Keller Middle School where I was chosen as Campus Teacher of the Year at Keller Middle School for the 2017-2018 year. I was then chosen as one of Top 10 Teachers of the Year for the district. In April of 2018, I was awarded Keller ISD's Secondary Teacher of the Year!
Moved to Round Rock and taught 7th and 8th grade ELA at Walsh Middle School, and was awarded Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year.
Transferred to Round Rock High School three years ago and taught Applied English I and III, then taught Applied English, and Academic English II. This will be my second year teaching Advanced English I and Academic English I Mr. Ramirez in 6th period and Ms. Creel in 7th period! I was awarded Teacher of the Year at Round Rock last year, as well as the Secondary District Teacher of the Year. I was just recently given the title of Region 13 Secondary Teacher of the Year! CRAZY TIMES!
This will also be my third year as the Student Council Sponsor here at RRHS! If you are interested in joining Student Council, our first meeting is on Monday, August 18th from 4:30-5:00 in the 1100 Cafeteria!
I am so happy to call Round Rock High School my home! I will continue to grow, learn, and teach my heart out! I will always put my students and their families FIRST and work hard to inspire my students to reach their potential- and LOVE reading and writing in the process. I want my students to know that our classroom is a safe space; a place to explore, to challenge themselves, to dream, to collaborate, to laugh, to excel, and to achieve! #DragonNation #GoRock
My husband and I at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium for a charity event. This was SO fun! I was two steps away from Jerry Jones. (Even though I'm a Dolphins fan, it was still cool.)
This is my son Hayden, one of my twin sons! He will be a Senior this year!
This is my daughter Rylee and my other twin son Jackson! They are also going to be juniors. You read that right- I HAVE THREE SENIORS THIS YEAR!
These are my kids Hayden, Jackson, and Rylee during their first day of the Apex Fun Run! They were DEDICATED! (2nd graders!)
Coach Shula- Best NFL coach of all time!

We met Miami Dolphins' quarterback Tua Tagovailoa at his charity event! He is the NICEST guy! He's MY quarterback!

First day of their sophomore year!
A little About me:
I have been married almost 22 years!
I have lived in 5 states!
My favorite team is the Miami Dolphins, the ONLY team to go undefeated in the history of the NFL. I am absolutely obsessed! GO FINS! #FinsUp
I love to shop, eat, read, binge watch my favorite shows (The Office and many others), spend time with my family and friends, decorate, and SLEEP!
I can play the drums! My husband and I played a few gigs back in the day! FUN!
I played the clarinet for 6 years in elementary/middle School, danced through middle/high School, and was in theater at Manzano High School for four years, where I lettered twice over (I still proudly own my letterman's jacket). My senior year I was voted thespian president for our theater troupe. That was one of the best years on record!
I absolutely LOVE to serve others and support, encourage, and love on people! I believe it's what makes the world a better place.
This was my second home game against the Buffalo Bills. Unfortunately, we lost. :(
