What is SSD Collegeboard?
For most College Board exams, testing with accommodations requires SSD approval. Approval by the College Board's Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) is always required before students can take the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, SAT, or AP Exams with accommodations.
How long does the application process take?
It can take about seven weeks for the College Board to process an accommodations request. If you plan on taking the October PSAT, it's best to begin the process in the spring of the previous school year — well before summer recess.
How do I apply?
Apply by going to the Request Packet Tab, complete paperwork and submit. You can also gain a copy of this packet from the main office at RRHS and/or from your alpha administrator. Requests can also be made during campus 504 meetings, ARD meetings, and LPAC meetings.
Who do I contact at RRHS about College Board Accommodation questions?
julie_nunez@roundrockisd.org
What if I don't want to use my approved accommodations?
Accommodations can be waived. The process can take up to 7 weeks after paperwork is complete. Accommodations can not be waived the day of the exam.
What is the process for ACT?
If you are interested in ACT accommodations, you must register first and indicate you are requesting accommodations (ACT website). If you have any questions, please contact Yolanda_Paredes@roundrockisd.org.
