During an author visit, students have the opportunity to meet the person behind the book. This creates an enriching experience that inspires students in their own reading and writing.
Every year, Robertson Library hosts 2 book fairs. This is an exciting time for students who get to purchase some of their favorite books for themselves and/or their teachers! Books fairs are fundraising events for the library. Funds are used to provide enriching programs and activities for students.
Specifically for grades 3 - 5, this program is meant to increase student interest in chapter books. The first chapter of a variety of books have been copied for you to read aloud to your class.
Each month, a new mini bracket of 2 books will be sent to you. Sometime during the month, play the read aloud videos for you students. Then, vote on which book you liked better. At the end of the year, we will vote for the school's favorite book!
