I am super excited for this school year! In 2000, I moved from Dallas to Austin to attend the University of Texas. I fell in love with this area, so decided to stick around. This is my first year to be a Hopewell Hornet! Prior to joining Hopewell, I was a Cedar Valley Jaguar for 18 years. At Cedar Valley, I also taught 8th grade Science. Even though I still love CV, sometimes a new adventure is what you need. I'm extremely grateful to be a part of your life this year!

My husband is Tim and my son, Brandon, is a junior at Glenn HS in Leander.

While I have always had a strong interest in Science, my appreciation of Science recently deepened to a whole new level. My son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and it has been life changing for all of us. I am in awe of the discoveries/innovations, creativity, and scientific research that makes his life possible. To think that a love of Science could develop in a student as early as middle school and to imagine that any student sitting in class could one day be a part of impacting lives in such a huge way through a variety of scientific avenues really moves me.
