Welcome to Dyslexia Support Services! Our team is here to ensure that students identified with dyslexia receive an intensive, structured, explicit, yet personalized program that will train them to be metacognitive about word structures. This program is called the Wilson Reading System. It has built its success on the powerful instructional approach of implementing multisensory strategies to engage major pathways to the brain while introducing and reinforcing 52 language-based concepts.

The act of allowing senses to work together, while learning new information, encourages stronger connections to what is being taught. WRS builds skills in a particular order, from basic letter-sound matching to recognizing syllable types and applying that knowledge to reading whole passages. Each lesson builds upon the previous lesson as a constant and consistent review. The ultimate goal of the Wilson Reading System is to help students become independent readers, which in turn boosts self-confidence in school, as well as in life.

Our team is committed to supporting our students and their unique learning style through not only WRS instruction, but also by guiding them to recognize their immense strengths and talents and helping them acknowledge that nothing is unattainable!
