La Profesora Kim

"No dejes para mañana lo que puedas hacer hoy."

¡Hola, Mavericks! Me llamo Profesora Kim.

I was born in Los Angeles, California. My family and I moved to Texas when I was in the 5th grade. I grew up in Austin, attending Canyon Creek Elementary School, Grisham Middle School and then Westwood High School (I'm an OG RRISDer!). I double majored at the University of Texas at Austin and received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Bachelor of Sciences in Communication Studies.

After graduating in 2014, I decided to move to Madrid, Spain to teach English in a primary school. I spent 2 years fully immersed in Spanish culture, traveled to over 15 countries and 35 cities, and fell in love with the teaching profession.

Upon my return to the Americas, I decided to attend Texas State University. I recently graduated with a Masters in Secondary Education.

My hobbies include traveling, keeping up with my favorite T.V. shows (Game of Thrones, Modern Family, Criminal Minds, and Master Chef to name a few), and cheering on the UT Longhorns. I am also a huge former band nerd. I am excited for the school year and to share my passion for the Spanish language and culture with all of you!
